Getting close to 10 000 euros!

The Concert brought in over 3000 euros, so we are getting close to the 10 000 euro mark for FOOD TODAY!
The response has been amazing, all the local media have given us good coverage and we have an increasingly positive contact with the local council.
The donations of money, food, clothing and equipment have been enough to cover essentials and we are setting up a fund to cover several week's expenditure to enable us to meet increasing need and unemployment.
We aim to give immediate crisis help to bridge the gap until others solutions can be sought. We have a group of volunteers who help people get the assistance they need from social services or councellers.
We are a small group, but through good communication and teamwork we have made considerable progress in a very short time. By giving immediate help in the form of food , support and councelling we have got several individuals back on their feet, some of these now help as volunteers.
Our next aim is to include neighbouring areas and their Lions Clubs in this project.
